      MY 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5 has started to have the e-Brake light turn on without engaging the e-brake. The other day it was about 40 degrees and it didn’t turn on all day, but now its colder and it’s back on. Any suggestions?

        Two possibilities here. Low brake fluid in the master cylinder/float sticking
        or your e brake is sticking or the switch is out of adjustment.
