Dumb things you did when you were younger

The other day I found a box of random parts in my parents basement. Leftovers from some attempt to modify my Honda back in high school by wiring LEDs under the dash, and putting on an intake. But at the time I didn’t know any better. Most of my car guy friends have also done similarly stupid mods back before they knew any better.

So my question would be, did ErictheCarGuy ever do anything dumb to a car back in the dayt?

Not dumb so much as different. I used to like to paint strange things on my cars. Before I became a mechanic I was in art school. My first was a 79 Accord that I painted smily faces on the hood, roof, and doors. The second was my Yuck Bucket.

I also had this 84 Civic.

I’d say forgetting to put your new filter on when changing oil is pretty damn dumb. 12 years ago and haven’t made that mistake twice.
