gday mates, how ya goin. i was cutting some laps or doing mainys in my vn commo and i noticed the oil light was going off its nut. it was coming on going off flashing and stuff. i know i should have pulled over and turned the car off but that takes effort… anyway i know i was losing a lot of oil because it was leaving trails up and down the street. after about another 20 mins of driving i went home, opened the bonnet and it didnt fuckin sound happy. it was ticking pretty loud. i found why it was leaking. the hose had fallen off and the oil was coming out of it. anyway this isnt the first time its happened to me. it happened in another car when the oil filter fell off. i drove that car for like another hour, got home put oil in it and it was right. so if i put oil in it do you think it will be right? i need to know as it would be easier to just put another engine in it and it would save me having to clean all the oil off it.

its a holden vn commodore v6 3.8l buick engine. pretty tough engine, i always drive it on fumes, ive driven it on 3 cylinders before, ive let it overheat before and kept driving and heaps more. i think she will be right

All you can do at this point is top up the oil and see if it
sounds or acts damaged. you may want to check the oil for metal
shavings. Unless the car just sounds destroyed. Then its either
        engine time or car time.
