door lock failure

2002 Camry LE V6.
Physical key stopped working for door locks and trunk lock.
Still works in the ignition, and the electronic unlock works.
Key will rotate clockwise (lock) but does not actually lock door.
Key will NOT rotate counter clockwise.

its possible the Lock cylinders could be broken or the rod that goes to it is disconnected.Does the key have damage to it or show signs of wear?

Actually my car has a similar problem with the master key when inserting it into the door lock cylinder. But when I try the Valet key it goes in easy. So its possible that you could just have a problem with the key. I would try a another key and see if that works. If not I would start looking into the lock cylinder and the rod or cable that goes to it. that unlocks and locks the door and trunk.
