Does the motor Quiet stuff work ?

HI i am Johnny i am a new tech i am currently in a high school auto program and i was wondering if the motor quiet stuff works my dads Chevy 5.3 l motor has a small tic i have seen other motors do this on you tube and they take the valve cover and clean the lifters but i have also seen people use the motor quiet stuff work and some times not and i really do not want to take off the valve cover yet so i was wondering if the motor quiet stuff works ?

There’s no right answer except to say that when the noise is gone it is fixed whatever it takes.

ive never used “motor quiet” but i have put 1/4-1/2 quart atf in with a fresh oil change and run it till then next oil change. ive seen some pretty decent results with that. it all depends on what’s causing the noise, how bad the problem is and so on. it may be something that an oil additive wont do anything about, like worn parts.

First thing to do is to check the oil and see if it needs topping up.

it is not to bad but at an idle you can clearly hear it and its ok on oil

Seafom in oil for 500 miles, change oil, refill and replace 1 qrt of oil with Lucas HD oil stabilizer. That’s from Silverado owner to you.
