I’m going through a bit of a reorganization phase and am trying to move the “once in a blue moon” guys out of my main boxes. I’m just a DIYer right now but I’m hoping to land an apprenticeship at one of the places here in town. For actual technicians do you ever use them anymore? Do they even get used on modern cars with electronic ignitions?

Maybe it’s just my OCD but I find the hardest thing of being new is finding a system for tool storage that you’re happy with. Then once you find a system you’re satisfied with you pick up a new tool that screws everything up and you’re back to square one…

      Thanks

I think I’ve used one 5 times in my life to check timing on TBI 305/350’s after doing tune ups etc. I suppose if you worked in a small shop or a shop where you work on a lot of older vehicles you’d use it quite a bit.
