Hello, everyone my name is Joaquin, I am new to this, never had subscribed to any channel until now, currently I am working on a 1999 Dodge Dakota 4×4 5.2, and removing the oil pan to replace the gasket. I had no idea how hard this was going to be, but anyway, in the instructions it says to hold the engine with a hoist to take the weight off of it in order to remove the front differential to lower the oil pan. I am afraid and unsure about this procedure since I’m doing it in my backyard.
My question is, will the engine fall down if I don’t performed this step.?
If anyone here has done this kind of job on the same vehicle, I will greatly appreciate the feedback.
Thank you
