I recently had one of these dime size buttons pop off my seat belt. They are placed on the seat belt webbibg to prevent the latch from dropping to the floor so a person seated can easily grab the latch and buckle their seat belt.

Trying to find a button was fairly easy but there was a huge problem. I own a Chrysler vehicle and I contacted Chrysler to get a button. Chrysler promptly told me the buttons were available in a package of 2 for $35.00 U.S., this was outragious! I WAS NOT GOING TO BE ROBBED AGAIN!

After looking all over the internet I found Doorman made these buttons for around $5.95 but they came only in black and I needed beige. I almost gave up but tried looking at other vehicle brands besides Chrysler, I knew every car used them. I found that Toyota had Seat Belt Latch Stop Buttons (what they call them) for $1.19 online from nearly every Toyota parts house I searched. You will find them in a Toyota Parts listing under (Electrical / Restraint Systems).

Not only does Toyota have beige buttons they also have ash, black, grey, cream, and several other colors available. The colors depend on the make and model year of the Toyota vehicles but the Toyota parts people should be able to help you locate what you need in the correct color. No special tools are required to install them, only a pair of pliers is all you need.

Bottom line I saved myself more than $30.00 by going to Toyota instead of Chrysler. I suspect this may be true for other common parts shared between diffrent makes of cars and trucks.
