Hello all,
Thanks in advance for looking into this for me. I went to change oil yesterday for my 1999 civic and was told that I need new struts as they are leaking. It is about $1260+tax and I was also told that the Rack and Piston is leaking as well. When I drive, I find that the steer wheel is harder to turn than before and I hear squeaky noise once in a while if I turn the steering all the way to park. I found something online that shows leaking and weepage difference: http://www.monroe.com/downloads/servicegrams/monroe-ride-control-servicegram-vol1-no5-english.pdf
I just did a timing belt and water pump + different belts changed a few months ago and I am afraid that the car has now become an endless money hole 🙁 . Not sure if I should stop replacing and just buy a newer car.
The mechanic took picture of the struts and I am not sure if I have to change them. Can you please help.
