      Seems like I have to do this every summer:

      Final pressures were 35lbs and 225lbs. $16 can of R134 and I’m good to go.

      Stay cool. Stay Dirty. B)

        🙁 Hey, Just wondering what the deal is with those 3 hoses… The recharge kits at Walmart only have the 1 hose and you just pop it on the air conditining thingy and pull the trigger. :dry:

          The blue and red are too the two A/C ports. One upper and one lower. The yellow goes back to the gauge set-up which also regulates the flow of the freon from the can into the correct A/C port.
          The ones at Wally World, you just hook up to the correct port and squeeze the trigger.

          The set-up here is a professional mechanic set-up.

          Hope that helps ya.

            with this set-up, I have the ability to monitor high and low side pressures during the recharge.

            blue = low side
            red = high side
            yellow = ‘maintenance line’

              TV advertises the devil out of those DIY recharge kits and those things can be a good way for a non-knowledgeable DIYer to end up with a non-repair at the least or a damaged car or their own body at the worst.

                You do not have all of the required tools to do A/C maintenance.

                1. Remove any remaining refrigerant
                2. Pull a vacuum and confirm that it will hold for 30 minutes.
                3. Repair leaks. Pull vacuum again.
                4. Add refrigerant with leak detector.

                Next year, when you have no refrigerant, get out a black light and look for signs of the leak.
