I’m not afraid to get dirty or delve into things, I’m a small engine mechanic. But at the end of the day, this isn’t my vehicle, although I use it. If I owned it, I’d be much more willing to tackle the project on my own._x000D_

Thanks alot. Unless I have another question, my next post should be results of the repair. It may be a couple weeks though, the Hughes kit is $120 and that’s alot when a tank of gas is $80._x000D_

Call me a hack but I’ve just busted the line loose on the fuel rail but make sure the engine is cold, it will bleed the pressure off pretty quick and the gas will actually help clean the area since it works well as a solvent.

i just thought of a help full tip that most people never talk about. along each side of the intake where the gasket sealing to head is. has a gap above the gasket. normally this fills with crap so use some brake clean and a small screw driver to clean it

I don’t see any reason the engine would be running before this is done since we’re going to start early in the morning, so it should be cold enough for your way to work. Thanks for the tip.
