      Hello everybody!
I got a question about my Denso Distributor, installed on Daihatsu applause 1997.
Does it has a Vacuum controlled ignition timing?
And what’s this hose head for?
      Here’s a Pic:

      Thanks!

Thats the vent on the distributor. No lines get hooked
to it. It helps keep moisture from building in the distributor.
        No worries. 🙂

No vacuum advance that I can see. As College man pointed out, that looks like the distributor vent. Also, I don’t recommend adjusting the ignition timing. On modern engines it really shouldn’t be messed with as the computer does all the timing adjustments. Also, if you do need to do an adjustment you normally need to follow a special procedure to do so.
