So I just replaced the seal inside the distributor on my 97 Honda Civic HX and wanted to know when I put it back on the car do I have to follow some procedure to align it. I had marked it with marker on the distributor but when I cleaned the housing with cleaner well it became a fail on my end. Someone told me that you leave the bolts just slightly loose to where you can turn the distributor and all you do is turn the engine over with the key and it will align itself but I do not know if this is true. Thank you for your help.

This is great thank you both very much! I do not have a timing light so I will have to see about maybe borrowing one. Eric I want to thank you for everything you do for your fans.
