G’day Eric, I have a Mitubishi 4×4 Pajero, they are called a shogun in the Uk, mine has a 2.8 Lt turbo diesel in & 5 speed manual.

My question in time do you think that you will do a video on A, manual deseil pumps. B, manual injectors replacement ect. I realise that you are limited to the cars and trucks that you have in for service, but if you ever have one come in it
would be of a great help.

      Kind regards Johnno

I’m actually looking to replace the Subaru soon with a diesel powered something. Not sure what yet. I’ve been keeping an eye on the classifies lately. When I do get a diesel powered something, I hope to make many videos with it.

        Thanks for the suggestion.

          That would be great Eric!

I’d really like to see “a match” between you and a diesel vehicle 😉

If I can suggest, try to stay around the 2001 – 2004 ones, the direct injection diesel technology was already very good and not overly complicated by FAP/DPF filters and so so many electronics.

This translates to better fuel economy and reliability, and a more “sincere” engine.

Also, I’ve learned some very bad things about WW TDIs , which are dreaded by lots of technicians here, since the engine is so “encapsulated” that it almost seems WW doesn’t want it to be serviced at all!

Good luck with the purchase Eric! 🙂

The more I think about it the more I think I should look into getting a truck. This means a domestic diesel. That may or may not be a good thing depending on how you look at it. I’ll probably get plenty of repair videos out of one if I go that rout. Still looking at the moment and I have a few more videos with the Subaru before I put it up for sale.
