It will gain 2 to 3 minutes a day. So if I set it to 1pm and check it at 1pm in 3 days itll be about 1:08.

I tried looking online the best I can come up with is change the battery. My battery is just 4 years old, seems to be fine. No corrosion, tests good.

Not sure where to look, any help is appreciated!

if it matters, 1996 kia sephia 1.8L
no TSBs online and no similar vehicles with same problem. (that I could find)
Most of what I read online says the battery is so bad the clock is resetting itself, not drifting time forwards. So hoping not battery, I have no extra batterys to swap out to test for a day or 3. (since the battery is testing fine)

        Dash Clock: Description and Operation

Battery voltage from the ROOM fuse is provided at all times to the digital clock for memory retention. With the ignition switch in ACC or ON battery voltage is provided from the AUDIO fuse to the digital clock. The digital clock illuminates and displays the time.

With the light switch in PARK or HEAD, two dimming inputs are provided for the digital clock. One input (RED/BLK circuit) dims the display to a preset level. The other input (RED/GRN circuit) comes from the I/P dimmer switch and provides variable dimming control.

        Testing and Inspection

The digital clock is a solid state device. No individual circuit testing is possible.

        Electrical Diagram(s)

There is no published procedure for replacing the clock; however, the book time for performing such repair is .3 hours, so it can’t be that bad. If you are lucky enough to find a junkyard kia then you can get some junk yard experience removing the clock as well as walking away with a cheap part.
