I’m not sure if this is a manufacturing, safety, or brand defect/regulation, but many Nissan Altimas (and some older Buicks) do not unlock the doors when I throw the auto stick from Drive to Park. I don’t understand how a 2015 Nissan Altima with 4600 miles will not recognize the shift transitions under no load so a driver and/or passenger can leave the car without hesitation. When the car turns off, the system unlocks with no problem. It’s terribly detrimental to my workflow.

Seems to be thing with vehicles these days, a chime for this, alarm for that, restriction for this… You cant even start most cars today without your foot on the clutch, safety, safety, safety. I’d say its because they don’t want you leaving an in-gear, running car for various reasons, pick three. :S

        Chrisco out.
