I have 2005 acura mdx. I just replaced the outer-inner tie rod, sway bar links and struts. Now I damaged the cv boot during the installation of the struts (leaking grease)and I noticed clonking noise on a bump and when turning. Is this a sign that I have to change the axle?

No, as it’s sign of bad sway bar bushings.
Of course, now that you busted the boot… Ha-ha, simply wrap it into a plastic bag and snug in place with black tape. I drove on some like that for about 3 years before axle replacement.
Hey, what is inner-outer tie rod? I know inner, and know what is called outer. But both?

You can replace the torn boot or just replace the axle. It’s not likely that the joint is making noise as it takes a while to wear out the joint from lack of grease.

I would go over your work and make sure everything is tight.
