I have an idea for an ETCG1 YT video – why most indies are loathe to allow the customer to supply their own parts. Excuse if this has already been covered, but I haven’t yet seen it on the YT channel. I’d be interested to hear the Car Guy’s point of view.
When I need a pro, I will supply my own parts if I want a specific result, which is usually better-than-factory longevity and/or performance. The indies never complain because I never buy cheap parts. Admittedly 90% of the 10% of the time I have to resort to professional help I buy OE parts.
