Hi Guys.. Im kinda hoping to get some advice with regards to the problem im experiencing with my Honda CRV 2000 Automatic. I bought this used. First car.

      Problem description:
Intermittent knocking noise whenever stepping on gas. At times, the whole car is vibrating. The noise is a rhytmic thud (thud thud thud) and becomes faster the more you step on gas. No noise when i just let the car roll even at 60-80 kmh.

      Other observation:
For some reason, one time, when the car was fully loaded (5 adult passengers) the noise and the vibration seems to be less felt.

It feels like you’re running over cat’s eye. IT feels the thud is coming from underneath the drivers seat.

      Repairs done:
Transmission hose replaced, Left engine mount replaced, stabilizer link replaced. Wheels are aligned and balanced. Already switched front tires and rear tires.

Thuds shouldn’t be too difficult to locate. Compare its frequency to various parts’ frequencies.

For much of its life my wife’s 1999 CRV did a whole car minor vibration when accelerating normally from a stop. It hasn’t done it much lately, but I think Honda’s engineers just did a lousy job at drive train integration. But I never had your thudding.
