Hey Guys!
Changed my oil today and was a little surprised at what I found…I was also happy by what I didn’t find, too. But I braved the weather, rode out some frustration (over my stuck oil filter) and finished the job safely.
I used a suggestion that I have read from other posters here at ETCG.com. I prefilled my oil filter 1/2 way (I have a horizontally positioned filter…I found it hiding behind the wheel well splash shield). Was happy with the results …or more accurately, the peace of mind from knowing I didn’t put the engine through a “dry start.” No leaks so far. Gonna top it off tomorrow before I replace the fuel filter…finally. Been putting that off.
