I have a 1992 Explorer that has an issue with the cruise control. When setting my cruise control, it drops 3-4 mph before setting. Is there any way to correct this?

Ex: To set my speed at 60 mph, I have to speed up to around 63 mph then hit the set button.

Check any vacuum lines to the unit. Other possibility’s
are vss speed sensor,The computer module. Are you running
the stock wheels and tires. If not that could throw off the
        speedometer which would affect cruise.

I heard there was an adjustment that would correct this issue, but I completely forgot what adjustment to make. Btw, I am running on stock wheels.

Apply un-ignited propain around the engine and listen for an idle change to check for vacuum leaks, carburetor cleaner works also 😉

There is a module that controls it. I don’t think its adjustable.
