Creaking noise when I turn

Hello, I am hearing a squeaking noise in my 2008 Ford Fusion when I turn my steering wheel. I don’t believe it’s the power steering because my PT Cruiser’s went out about a month ago and it’s a different sound. It only happens the first 10 minutes I drive it. After everything gets “warmed up” I guess, it doesn’t do it, and it sounds like it’s coming from the driver’s side. With this limited information what do you think the problem might be? Thanks

Is it a creaking noise (like old wooden boards) or a squeaking noise (chirps or a whine)?

I know ford had some problems with older fusions.
cracked subframe connectors.They also had problems
with the lower control arm bushings being loose or to
big.

Hit the top of the strut towers with a little silicone spray. Crank the wheels back and forth a couple of times to work it in. See if that helps at all.

Do you hear it inside or outside the vehicle? Almost sounds like a stub shaft seal in the steering gear. A lot of the GM’s do that, you can only hear it inside the car in the steering wheel area. If you can hear it outside the vehicle it could be a dry ball joint. Most newer vehicles do not have grease fittings in any of the front end components like the older vehicles which causes them to dry out and make some squeaking noises when turning.
