      Starting from the beginning.

My parents were on a …..okay, not that far back….Car over heated on a major highway, redline temp. Car got towed home, and so I move it into the shop.

I added coolant to look for a leak, couldn’t seem to find one with all the coolant from before. I turn the car off, and clean up most of the coolant(coming from just by the belts, might be water pump?) I go to start the car again, and it will not fire but it still cranks over. I didn’t touch anything but the Coolant Temp Sensor?(right above the pullies just behind the alternator)

The car seems to run alright when I moved it the 200 feet into the shop, and I’ve tried cleaning up the sensor and it doesn’t help. It seems to be getting fuel, because I can hear the pump going, and the smell of fuel up by the engine bay. There isn’t any leaks of fuel.

I can’t check spark by myself, so other than that. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Your going to have to get someone that can help you check spark but more importantly compression it sounds like. What does your oil look like.

Oil is a bit burnt, and a bit low.

I just tried to fire it up, and it wanted to, and you can hear it popping to fire but just doesn’t fully start.

I feel like you’re right on compression. There being lack of it to keep it running.

Just wanted to ensure not coolant in oil.

I would probably check compression 1st. Alot of time you can here weaker compression but test with gauge. If significantly low, you check leak down to find out where it is going.
