      hi,

I have noticed coolant spraying out the reservoir cap on my 1987 Honda prelude Si 4 WS when hot and wandering what could cause this?

Is it a pressurized reservoir ie no cap on the radiator? I believe if it is then there is a pressure relief valve within those caps. Id say replace the cap along with checking all hoses and maybe go as far as a system flush.

No its not pressurized its actually the plastic filler on the side of the engine, when its hot it sprays coolant out and over the engine?

Give the reservoir a good look at also…cracks on the necks etc.

                  Hi,

I have the valve cover off at the moment and waiting on parts, will replace the radiator cap and bleed the cooling system hopefully that’s the problem.

The fans are not working and not sure why?

I would check the fan circuit. That may be the over heat condition.
Also check that your coolant is full and free of air.

I will have to get a mechanic to look at the fan circuit and A/C not working.
