Hey eric i want to know on my moms minivan the coolant temprature guage works but after driving a while it reaches operating temperature but then the needle on the guage drops to almost cold even after it warmed up what might be the problem?

Ok, for anyone to really help you it would be good to know what the make, model, year, and how many miles are on the vehicle. It would also help to know when your gauge is acing up. Are you driving down the road/highway or are you sitting at a light?

The first thing to check with any cooling system issue is for air in the cooling system.

Don’t worry that you don’t have a bleeder valve, just do everything else in the video the same.

The Coolant System is a closed system. Air and leaks in the system often cause problems. The first thing I do is: It’s one of the most accurate ways to trouble shoot the system.
