Coolant re-filling via vacuum

Hey Eric hope this the right place for this topic. But I recently purchased radiator coolant vacuum re-fill tool. And would like to get your take on this method of re-filling the coolant system as compared to say the Lisle spill-free kit?

I’m unsure of the kit you bought, but the airlift kit I bought is badass. I don’t refill coolant any other way unless I absolutely have to after a system drain or repair. Now there are certain times you have to use the funnel you have pictured but almost always use the airlift.

The only problem I see is on a vehicle with extremely old hoses and parts where a potential blow out is possible. Which parts should be replaced or recommended at the time anyway. But as a tech time is money, for me it is the only way to go if I can manage it.

I use the spill free funnel all the time.

As for the vacuum tool, I’ll have to look into that.

OK, finally got to use it and I am :cheer: :silly: :silly: :woohoo: :cheer: over it.It took a Dodge Charger w/2.7L which anyone who knows they can be a *****(female mutt) to bleed the cooling system. And was done in 10 minutes. 1 lesson learned tho is the coolant pick-up has to be attached or you build no vacuum. But my god what a difference. You gotta try it Eric!!
