2000 Dodge Durango SLT
5.9L, Auto tans, 4×4
175xxx miles
2 Owner both back yard mechanics with help of Master Auto Techs (friends) (basically saying It is and was taken care of sense day 1)Ok here goes. Started with coolant leaking from timing cover (no oil mixing in coolant or vise versa) pulled motor out and changed timing chain, water pump, water pump gasket, oil pan gasket, radiator cap, timing gasket, plugs, and distributor cap/rotor. Was ok for two days no leaking, all was good till day 3 check gauges came on 260 degrees.. Damn… pull over pop cap off nothing but steam after cool down its empty check over flow its empty. so i fill her up with water and and low and behold it holds all no visible leaks.. Scratching my head i drive home it stays cool for 20 miles turn it off and check for leaks.. nothing?? 5 mins later i hear it just dumping out i look to see it coming from behind dust cover where tranny and motor meet… 2 freeze plugs back there they looked good and still do look fine so im stumped. it only comes pouring out 3-5 mins after shut down, not before, or when its running. new issue Developed today is my serp belt is soaking wet and slips like crazy randomly.. Help!?! please?
