I have a Renault with 1.2 L Renault D4F I4 . Put Antifreeze Ethylene Glycol and Dexcool agent aside, I am interested to the anti corrosive agent used in the coolant. My owner manual call for Weston 935 with deionized water. I wanted to flush my old coolant which I believe is organic Acid Technology (OAT) currently with rush and dark green brownish color. I can’t find the coolant specified in manual. I have Fuso Mitshubushi coolant 1L premix coolant and claimed Anime, Borax and silicate free. AFAIK, Europe tends to have OAT+ silicate and Japanese and US coolant like mine have OAT + Phosphate. I have concern to flush my Japanese coolant into my Europe engine. Europe does not have phosphate because their water hardness and would potential for solids dropout when mixed with hard water? It is safe to flush Japanese coolant into my Europe engine? Provided I flush the cooling system completely? I am not sure my engine is Iron/ aluminium/ steel and what Prosphate will react with my engine.
