Hi,
I had issues with my 1988 Honda Prelude which i thought i fixed but i noticed tonight after driving the car most of the day without any problems, but tonight the coolant in the reservoir was bubbling topped it up with coolant which was low on the stick.I took it for another drive and nothing,can you explain whats happening maybe the thermostat?
Any ideas please.

If low in the reservoir it may have been low in the radiator. As the engine cools, if the radiator cap is in working condition, coolant would be pulled from the reservoir until low and then air would be pulled in. When the engine warms the air would be pushed back out.
So what do you think is the problem, i would have done 50 miles in the car yesterday then when i got home and took my son to the gym which is only 5 miles down the road and home again then the bubbling started weird,for some reason i think i should change the thermostat?
Your experience would be appreciated.Forget about the thermostat for now. In fact, you’d probably be better off replacing the radiator cap with an OE unit to address that issue if you wanted to throw parts at it. The #1 cause of cooling system issues is actually air in the cooling system. This video can help you with that.
