Is it possible to test a vehicles COP coil packs ans determine which is not fireing correctly and causing an intermittant miss or slight miss at idle without an oscillioscope at home.
specifically toyota 3sgte engine

Diagnosing a COP can be done if you’ve got a specific cylinder misfire code to work against. If you had a code P0302, then you’d just swap cylinder two’s coil with another coil. Then you run the engine under load and look to gain another misfire for the cylinder you moved the coil to. Just remember that you can do the same thing with spark plugs and fuel injectors too.
