Hey guys, Erick, I have been having an issue with my 02 accord ex v6 sedan for almost a year. What it will do is when it’s fully warmed up and parked for a maybe 2 min when started back up it will misfire, started out that I would Rev the engine and problem would go away.
Now I found that it’s burning up my coil packs, check engine light comes on with multiple misfires detected, checked my plugs and they showed signs of grounding or spark jumping before reaching the bottom where it’s supposed to ignite. Coils have been changed and plugs replaced, I cleaned the grounding points for the coils thinking that’s what was causing my issue, on Thursday I get a call from my wife that it’s started again, any ideas as to where I could go from here?

If your using aftermarket coils that would be some of the problem right there.
Are the plugs the correct ngk?

Yes, I did buy replacement from 1a auto, thought they were good quality but I guess not, and yes I do have ngk plugs.
I will go pull some oem from the salvage yard and if that fixes the problem I will buy new.
                  Thank you for responding

Why would you target a coil on plug issue? Do Hondas require valve adjustments ?

I target the coils because I move the bad coil to a known good the problem moves with the coil,
The valves can be adjusted but its rare when they have to be adjusted, non the less I can give that a shot, I know Eric has a video on valve adjustment
