I recently watched the video on replacing clutch hydraulics. One question I had regarding installation of the clutch master. When adjusting the rod that connects to the back of the clutch pedal, is it possible to take a measurement off of the one that was removed, so as to make sure that the proper amount of play is left in the pedal and you don’t make it too tight? I am referring to adjustment of the forked bracket that hooks to the back of the clutch pedal. Can you take a measurement on the original one to insure that it will have the proper length. Thanks for any help.

Usually you don’t move the rod adjustment and everything is fine.
Unless it was moved previous. I don’t know if there is enough room
        to measure.

I’ve never had to make a manual adjustment on a hydraulically operated clutch. The hydraulic function removes the need for adjustment unlike cable types. Shouldn’t be any need for anything other than bleeding the system if any fluid has been lost.

You can do a measurement, but it may not do any good. Especially with aftermarket parts you need to do the adjustment each time as they are often different than the originals. The adjustment isn’t that difficult at all. Go loose rather than tight if you have doubts.

            Good luck.
