My car has done this every since I got it which was nearly a year ago, my truck also does this. No matter if I’m on flat ground or on a hill when I shift in between park to reverse or to drive or from drive to reverse and vice versa my car makes what I would describe as a clunking noise when the gear engages. My fluid level is fine and the fluid color is fine as well(I will be changing the fluid and filter here soon) and the car shifts fine as well despite a bit harder shifts when driving uphill which to my understanding is normal. Even when I put the pedal to the floor the car shifts perfect and makes no noise, so my guess is maybe something like a mount but I am not sure. I may try to get a video of the noise up when I have time.

I would start by inspecting the mounts. Have a trusted person put on the parking brake and start the car, hold down the brake and Rev the engine while you observe the engine for movement from the side of the car, look for the engine to rock a distance more than in should.

        Good luck
