Link to the video above. Its a honda civic 2001 LX with 137,000 miles. The noise is coming from the inner part of the CV joint/axle. The boots are fine no tears or rips. Is it a bad CV axle or something wrong with the gearbox? Waiting for a reply.

      Thanks,
      Junaid

Do you hear this while you are driving? Turning, any of that? if you hear “poping” when your driving or turning then i would suspect the cv joint being bad, but just by the looks of this it looks pretty normal! if your car is jacked up on both sides perform the same on the other side, just looks like your car is in gear and your hearing the free play… example…when you are parked on a hill and you put the car into park, and release the brake it rocks a bit until it catches.

Yes I do hear a popping sound when turning on slow speeds. I thought the sound was coming from strut. Thank you for the reply.

Very rare I got to hear the similar sound, but never looked upon it as a serious matter.
