Cleaning your condensor coil problem?

Hi,

I cleaned my coil last Friday on my 2000 GMC Yukon XL 1500 with 175k. Results were excellent however, some of the cleaner got on the radiator, did not worry about it. Figured it could only help. Left Saturday for vacation. Low coolant light has come on. Added almost 1/2 gallon, still coming on, and coolant is low. Will this chemical do bad things to the the radiator? I know I will have to pressure test it when I get home.

It shouldn’t. It’s likely there’s some other issue happening. You might find this helpful.

We are on vacation in the middle of no where. Antifreeze is leaking heavily. I have nothing with me. Gonna be forced to take it to a local. Like National Lampoons Vacation. “ok fellas, how much? How much ya got?”

Guess it was just a coincidence on this one. This truck has never left us stranded. It was built on WED.:-)

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you get it sorted out. As for when vehicles were built, that has little merit these days as most vehicles are assembled by robots and they don’t seem to care what day it is.
