Cleaning HVAC air intake on 94 Toyota Camry

Hey ETCG Forum,

I need some help cleaning the HVAC air intake on my 94 toyota camry. I tried removing the wipers to gain access to the intake but neither wiper would budge (after removing the 2 acorn nuts holding them on).

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

Maybe I didn’t use enough force to remove them? I dont know. To be honest I babied it because I was afraid I would break it if I used too much force

Be careful if you try prying it, I busted a $300 windshield on a Saab once prying on the wiper.
