I am in the middle of a 65 mustang build and would like help deciding on a transmission.

      65 Mustang
      Blueprint Engines 306 BP3060CT 390HP 350TQ
      Fitech Fuel Injection
Ford Factory 8″ with Eaton trutrac, 28 spline, 3.40 gears
Custom 4″ driveshaft with 1310 UJOINTS

Purpose of Car is to be a daily driver

What kind of fabrication am I looking at to fit the 4R70? Especially with Exhaust? Is it worth the locking TC? Can I get away with HIPO exhaust manifolds and route the tubing around bell housing?

Would AODE be easier for exhaust options and will it still withstand the HP and TQ?

i cant tell you much about fitment, but I will tell you having a lock-up torque converter is beneficial on the freeway or highway cruising. Better fuel economy and less heat build-up in the trans.

UPDATE- I ordered an AOD with 284 wide gear set from Monster Transmission with a 2200 Stall Converter, Blueprint 347, and JBA long tubes which will specifically fit this application.

          Thanks
