Hello to all and Eric, new to the forum. I have been watching eric’s videos for a while but finally join the family.

      Here is my first question.
I’m looking to buy this 1992 civic with a D15B7 swap engine. When I went to check out this car, I noticed the timing belt is kinda wobbling (a part of the plastic cover is broken off so that I was able to peek through). The part where the belt is running off the cam, it’s wobbling back and froth–the vertical part. According to the owner, the timing belt was replace along with the engine two years ago. The car seems to be driving fine. would the wobbling be a problem? It kind of rise my concern. Not sure if I describe it well enough. Any thoughts? Thanks for helping!! 🙂

A cam gear that wobbles is not normal. When you looked
at the cam. did you look at the bolt and washer. The washer
may not have been centered. giving the illusion its wobbling.
Was the belt tight or fluttering?

It’s not the cam, it’s the belt that shakes. It looks tight.I was looking from the exhaust manifold side.

My mistake. The tension may not be set right. There is a tensioner.
