      Hello All

I have a 2001 Civic(not Vtec) which doesn’t rev past 4000 RPM. It feels like the fuel is cutting out or its hitting the limiter. The car drives great otherwise, no fuel consumption increase. It does it in gear or parked so im assuming not a transmission issue. Cleaned out throttle body few weeks ago.

Things I have done so far

-Compression Test : 170 PSI in all 4 cylinders
-Oil is new and topped up
-Plugs are 2 months old and look great
      -Coils look okay
      -Fuel is coming no problem
No check engine light/ No codes
-Ran Royal purple fuel injector cleaner in system

Have you checked the throttle cable for any noticeable signs of restriction?

You might check the mechanical timing. If it jumped a tooth it can cause an issue like this. You might also check for an exhaust restriction. More info and videos (including one on checking for exhaust restrictions) on solving problems like this here.

Good luck and keep us posted.
