      Hey,
I was offered a change to get a M1008 6.2 disel for a good price, but I really don´t know anything about that car or Chevys at all.

Gonna use it for offroading and towing.

Can you please tell me something about the car B)

In spite of what many people think, the 6.2 diesels aren’t bad engines, if they are well taken care of.

Those engines were known to destroy crankshafts because the vibration dampers were prone to failure, but this shouldn’t be a problem if the truck hasn’t been seriously abused. However, since it’s a military vehicle, it’s highly likely that it’s seen some rough duty, but at least the maintenance would have been performed.

A thing like this really is a case-by-case thing. Any one of these trucks you look at could be exceptionally wonderful, while the next one could be an absolute dog turd. It’s hard to make sweeping generalizations that will stick when it comes to used military vehicles.

Yep, the military is selling it and it has drove a lot, but they say it has taken care a lot.

The body seemed fine, no major rust etc.

Never worked on a diesel car before 😛

It is cheaper and better to build for offroad than Jeep 😆
