checking codes on 1993 honda accord

      hey yall im trying to check the codes on my 1993 honda accord 2.2 the problem is where is the wire/computer i think i found it on passenger side floorboard looks square what do i do next thanks for any help larry

        thanks college man i only get one long flash in between the 8 and the 4 thats why i said 14 i was told that there is a sensor telling the car what gear it is in could be bad like i said earlier i dont have any codes on the cel or abs i can probly go out there now and the car will start run good but if i turn it off the D4 light will flash and will not start i watched the D4 when i was getting the codes and it all was fast flashes but that one time ill look at what youposted earlier and see if it helps thank you so much ill get back

            ok yall this may sound stupid but i have a multimeter performance tool W2974 im wanting to check the volts and conn on distubtor and everything else that was posted on my car i cant find the booklet on it so where do i set everything on my meter im talking the black wire-red wire and the switch fell like a idiot but figured i would post here again thanks guys larry

              I’m not understanding the question. Meter at 20vdc.

                ok college man i just need to know what to set my meter on to check my distubator and sensors if you look at performance tool.com and meters you will see the one i have part#W2974 thanks for yalls help larry

                  I got it. For voltage readings you want 20volt DCV scale
                  For ohms checking sensors.you want 2000k or 200k 🙂

                    ok thank you so much college man what about the red-wire and black wire i have 3 places to put them unless im wrong which i probly am the black goes in the comm and the red goes in where it sayes v- 500v max thats to check the volts just turn the switch to DCV-20 and to check ohms the switch goes to 2000k-200k correct thanks i will post what i get larry

                      You are correct.Black to common Red to v-500 max then
                      use the scale you need.Don’t try to read ohms with power
                      applied.
