I have a 1996 honda accord lx with the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder non vtec engine with 229,4xx miles. The check engine light was on. So I pulled the codes via EricTheCarGuy’s pull honda codes without a scanner method and i got 2 codes: Code 67 and 76. I know code 67 is a problem with the catalytic converter, but code 76 is a number 6 cylinder misfire, and the car is a 4 cylinder. I double checked to make sure i was right and i was right. How is a check engine light code for a 6 cylinder accord showing on a 4 cylinder accord possible? I have the codes written down on a piece of paper in a little kit i made to pull codes for this car.
