05 Accord 3.0L V6 check engine light comes on, Traction Control goes off. Abs light Off
I thinking that this is either a Throttle position sensor of Accelerator pedal position sensor. On this V6, the TPS is integral to the throttle body. Before replacing the entire throttle body, I would like to check out the sensor for operation. Unlike the previous versions, I only see a connector with 6 leads near the throttle body. I have no idea what is what. Hours of searching have proven fruitless. Anyone know of a way to check this sensor??

How about you check the codes before you make a diagnosis…

What makes you so sure it is the TPS?

Before asking about how to check a TPS, you should confirm that is the problem….

Code P2138. I”m aware that this is specific to the Accelerator Pedal Position sensor. Any idea what the pin voltages should be on that sensor?

I know that this post is about a month old so you might already have fixed your problem. I just wanted to add a few things related to the p2138 with Honda’s and Acura’s. That code along with the issues that you had mentioned are definitely related to a faulty accelerator pedal position sensor or app sensor as it is sometimes called. This sensor is prone to fail with high mileage Honda’s and Acura’s with the drive by wire throttle body setup.
The video that college man provided does a decent job of explaining what is involved in the removal/install of this sensor. If you go to either driveaccord.com or accurazine.com some good DIY’s are posted on those sites as well. It’s a fairly easy DIY job if you have basic hand tools and extensions. Hope this info. helps someone !
