Took me 3 hours (with a couple of breaks) but I managed to change out a front wheel hub assembly on my Silhouette mini van. Spindle nut was tough to remove, I had to use the breaker bar almost all the way, and the bearing came out in pieces fighting me all the way but its done! Glad I didn’t drive any further on it when I see the state of the bearings. Thanks to Eric for all the videos. Looks like most hub assemblies are the same on many vehicles.

Congrats! Hub bearings are one of those things that aren’t that “hard” but they are tricky and can be a pain.

Such a great feeling to get that axle nut released with a breaker bar. Anyone else notice they always seem to make it seem as though its easy to remove an axle nut with a big break bar? From my experience it is never easy. I will never again make an attempt at removing an axle nut with a breaker bar after removing 5 of them with a breaker bar. Definitely will stick to the imipact wrench going further. Congrats!

I actually attempted to use an impact wrench on it but it went nowhere. Only the breaker bar could do it. New nut went in fine with the impact.
