I am planning a LS engine swap for a ford Mustang 2000.

Found a guy who have done it by carborating the ls engine to get rid of wire harness headache.
I want to discuss how those carburated engine work

I am sure the spark plugs coils will definitely need that. and since there is not any fuel injectors, no connections for that too

how about MAP sensors and other sensors in the engine, will they connect to ford ECU?

If you are using a carburetor, you won’t need a map sensor. Just Google how carbureted cars work or how a carburetor works. You will get tons of information. You won’t need injectors or many sensors. You will still need the crank position sensor for the plugs to fire but you should be fine otherwise.

If you’re looking at using an LS motor, you can buy a complete self contained EFI Kit. Something as modern as a 2000 model year, will probably require doing some custom electrical work as some systems would need inputs or have to be removed.

If the car already has a modular V8 in it, you would probably be better off sourcing a used one and doing a build up, or an already built engine. Get some go fast parts on it and have the ECU professionally flashed.
