What I have seen, looks like they went from carburetor to fuel injection. The only parts that’s is electric on this Honda Civic is the choke #4 and Fuel Magnet Valve #26. The Choke is connected to 12V wire. The choke heats a resistance heater that is enclosed in the choke housing next to the bi-metal spring. When you turn your key to ‘RUN’, the resistance heater begins to warm the spring and the choke slowly opens. The Fuel Magnet Valve, is on the side of the carburetor body, with a wire connected to the outer end. This valve shuts off the flow of fuel when you turn off the engine, to prevent “running on.

Depends on what you mean by ‘electric carburetor’. Kehenin made the carburetors for Honda as well as some of their fuel injection components. Many of their carburetors used electronic controls to maintain idle and keep emissions in line.
