      Can anyone tell me the cheapest solution to soak a disassembled carb. in for rebuilding? Thanks

        berryman chem tool/chem dip is what I use.

          I use a carburetor dip solution, but that’s hard to find and eats through it’s bucket every couple of years. This might be a better solution for you.

            I suggest that if the carb is not real dirty you might just get away with a couple of cans of choke/throttle body cleaner. After spraying each piece blow it out with compressed air and you should be fine. If it’s covered with baked on crap then a stronger chemical will be needed.

            Unless you are going to rebuild more carburetors it seems a lot to buy a cleaner to soak it in. The stuff is very harsh and smells bad also. It takes days to get the smell off of your hands.

            Whatever you decide be sure wear mechanics gloves and eye protection.

              I appreciate all the responses. I went out today and bought a gallon of perryman parts cleaner with a drip tray. I’ve also heard this is a good product from others. Thanks again Kenny
