        The picture with the clutch disc sitting on the pressure plate…is that how you had it installed on the engine? If so, the clutch disc was installed backwards…the springs are supposed to face away from the engine, not towards.

          agreed, if the way it sits in the pictures is how it was bolted up the clutch disk was in backwards, an easy mistake to make if your in a hurry.

            Nope, pictures were taken like that on purpose (didn’t have any room to put them anywhere else), I had the flat side of the clutch disc against the flywheel._x000D_

            Could under tightening or over tightening of the pressure plate cause my problems?_x000D_

                Yeah, still copper/brass/zinc and shiny, will grease it a tiny bit and put everything back together again._x000D_

                    Nope, turns out I’m an absolute idiot and didn’t have the pressure plate bolted correctly… Oh well, lucky third time (and lessons learnt for the first two)._x000D_
