              If it is the same car then I would address the cooling system first because as stated the engine temperature is very important in calculating the fuel mixture so if it’s off it can cause all kinds of performance related issues._x000D_

                    Hmm, Eric may be on the right track if the intake of air is somehow being choked off. Does this era have a throttle body? It sounds like a mixture issue relative to too much fuel(either as a result of too much air or too little), and putting the car in D

                        I’m starting to suspect the idle air control valve, if it’s sticking closed it won’t allow enough air into the engine during start up but it would be fine when it warmed up.
