Hey guys, i have a 1997 Honda Civic ex coupe, 5 spd if that’s relevant. But when turning left or right, it squeals badly from the front wheel area, any ideas on what is causing this?

Does the squeal sound like a worn steering/suspension joint like described in the video?
Can you dupicate the noise with the vehicle not moving? If yes, make the noise happen and then bring the revs up while it squeals. If that noise amplifies significantly as you bring the engine speed up then you have a slipping belt.

Does your car have power steering? If so, check the belt tension/condition

It does have power steering but im almost 100% sure its not from the power steering, sounds like it comes from the wheel wells

I would recommend you remove the front wheels and inspect the brakes and suspension. Make sure you actually remove the caliper to inspect both pads as you may not be able ton see the problem if you don’t.
